When people look at an entrepreneur’s journey from the outside, they usually see the milestones.
The companies.
The growth.
The wins.
What they rarely see is the person standing quietly behind the scenes, holding the whole thing together when the path is anything but predictable.
For me, that person has always been my wife, Melissa.
Entrepreneurship is a strange road. It’s filled with moments of excitement and opportunity, but also long nights, hard decisions, and seasons where the outcome is anything but certain. In those moments, the strength of the person standing beside you matters more than anything.
Melissa has been that strength for me.
There were times when I needed someone to push me. When I was being too cautious, she would remind me what I was capable of and challenge me to go for it. She believed in the vision even when it was still forming.
And there were other times when the push wasn’t what I needed at all. Sometimes what I needed most was support, encouragement, and someone who understood the weight of what comes with building something from nothing.
Melissa always seemed to know the difference.
She pushed when I needed courage.
She supported when I needed steadiness.
And through every chapter of the journey, she reminded me why the work mattered in the first place.
Entrepreneurship may look like a solo act from the outside, but the truth is that no one builds anything meaningful alone. The people who stand beside us make the journey possible.
I’m incredibly grateful for the life we’ve built together, and even more grateful for the partner who has walked every step of this road with me.
